Released on 1 November 1972 The Magician’s Birthday is the fifth album by Uriah Heep. The concept was based loosely on a short story written by keyboardist Ken Hensley in June and July 1972.
This was the amazing follow up album to Demons and Wizards. The album continued the fantasy theme with brilliant tracks such as Sunrise and Echoes in the Dark. The epic title track contains the famous guitar work out representing the battle between the forces of good and evil.
This edition released for Record Store Day 2021 is features re-imagined artwork by Roger Dean.
