This release features the concert broadcast from Houston on 11 December 1977, which captures Queen hard at work promoting the album News of the World. For many fans this was the definitive Queen set, which combined the best of their brilliant extended hard-rocking material with a glimpse at what the musical future held for the band.
The 1977 News of the World Tour is now famous as the tour in which Queen opened and closed the show with different versions of We Will Rock You.
Interwoven with the hard rocking album tracks performed on this concert tour were, of course, the familiar hits, all the favourites such as Bohemian Rhapsody, Keep Yourself Alive, We Are the Champions and Killer Queen. The result is a night of classic Queen which represents the band at their absolute peak.
